About Daniel P. Olpere

Dan Olpere has served as both a Township/Borough Manager and an Executive Director for several Pennsylvania communities and organizations over the past 25 years. During this time he also formed his own company, Local Government Management Services L.L.C., where he has undertaken a wide variety of consulting assignments which have focused on planning and zoning, organizational training and development, fiscal management, executive search and grant writing. His clients have included individual municipalities as well as organizations such as the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, the Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities, and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Dan has both a B.S. in Community Development and a M.P.A. in Public Administration from Penn State University and is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Human Relations Program. He is a certified trainer in both Subdivision Review and Community Planning by the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute and is also certified under the new Pennsylvania Act 45 as a Building Code Official. He is also a 25-year member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Association for Pennsylvania Municipal Management (APMM) and the American Planning Association (APA).

In addition to serving as President of the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities, Dan is also a past board member of both the Transportation Management Association of Montgomery County and the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Katharine Gibbs School and recently was appointed to the adjunct faculty at Villanova University in the Department of Public Administration.
